Position Available: Experienced Unity Programmer

Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Interpret, Integrate and problem-solve challenges relating to implementing gameplay systems as required by the Game Design Leads and overall needs of the project.
  • Collaborate with other staff members from all departments on integration and support tasks.
  • Collaborate with designers extensively to conceptualize, prototype and implement designs.
  • Act upon feedback from designers, leads and stakeholders to refine and iterate on project goals.
  • Work closely with producers and the rest of the development team to develop and iterate on a wide range of interactive projects within specific constraints and deadlines.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 2-5 years experience working on and shipping games, or other interactive projects.
  • 2-5 years experience working with the Unity Game Engine
  • Professional experience with game development and best practices
  • Experience fine-tuning gameplay and controls based on feedback from team and consumer playtests.
  • Experience with working on other people’s code and adhering to coding principals.
  • Comfortable working with a collaborative team.
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Accurate time and schedule management.
  • Passionate for (and interested in working on) games, especially mobile.

Preferences:

  • A least one shipped, credited game project (any commercial platform, but mobile preferred)
  • Generalist skillset, adaptable and flexible.
  • Experience with web & networking technologies and languages

Position Available: Online Game & Server Programmer:

Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Interpret, Integrate and problem-solve challenges relating to implementing technical systems as required by the overall needs of the project.
  • Collaborate with other staff members from all departments on integration and support tasks.
  • Act upon feedback from designers, leads and stakeholders to refine and iterate on project goals.
  • Work closely with producers and the rest of the development team to develop and iterate on a wide range of interactive projects within specific constraints and deadlines.
  • Assist in day to day operations of network infrastructure.
  • Work with client teams to develop server side application stack.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 2-5 years experience working on and shipping games, or other interactive projects.
  • 2-5 years experience with Model View Controller HTTP application development (ASP, PHP, Ruby, Python, etc…)
  • Understanding of CSS and Javascript fundamentals.
  • Relational database design experienced.
  • Linux command line and basic system administration.
  • Professional experience with game development and best practices
  • Experience fine-tuning gameplay and controls based on feedback from team and consumer playtests.
  • Experience with working on other people’s code and adhering to coding principals.
  • Comfortable working with a collaborative team.
  • Strong debugging skills.
  • Accurate time and schedule management.
  • Passionate for (and interested in working on) games, especially mobile.

Preferences:

  • Ruby on Rails development experienced.
  • Mongo or other non-relational database design experience.
  • Familiarity with SSL and Public Key Cryptography principals.
  • Advanced Linux Systems Administration & Security experience.
  • A least one shipped, credited game project (any commercial platform, but mobile preferred).
  • Experience with web & networking technologies and languages.
